Description
As the sun gets warmer and the cherry blossoms bloom, the greens are vibrant from all the rain, and the clouds are big, blustery, and billowing.
To go along with this colorful season, I’ve got a new art adventure for you: Experiment with Color Harmonies by Playing with Patterns.
This free printable coloring book and guide to technique explores the concept of color harmonies and includes four original designs, patterns inspired by sacred geometry. The aim is to provide a place to explore color and experiment with color harmonies in a way that is relaxing, creative, and fun.
Color harmonies are a magical interplay of hues, a dance of color relationships that exist all around us. They are combinations of colors that are pleasing to the eye, evoking emotions and moods that are relevant in our day-to-day lives.
Imagine a beautiful sunset, with the warm oranges and yellows of the sun blending into the cool blues and purples of the sky. This is an example of a complementary color harmony, where colors opposite each other on the color wheel create a sense of balance and harmony.
Color harmonies can be found in everything from fashion and home decor to art and design. They play an important role in creating a cohesive and visually appealing look, drawing our attention to what we find beautiful and interesting.
But color harmonies go beyond just aesthetics.
They also have a powerful impact on our emotions and mood.
Warm colors like red and orange can create a sense of excitement and passion, while cool colors like blue and green can bring a sense of calmness and tranquility. Understanding color harmonies can help us create environments and experiences that evoke the emotions we desire.
In short, color harmonies are a beautiful and powerful tool that can enrich our lives and help us create beautiful, meaningful experiences every day.
This is the idea behind the new path for my work-in-progress, full-sized pattern-themed coloring book, and is shared in this eBook.
After receiving helpful feedback from some of you who’ve been coloring my Peaceful Patterns, I’ve added my inky hand-drawn style to make the art more pleasing to the eye and switched up the focus.
Now, instead of just “Peaceful” patterns, it is about exploring Color Harmonies, experimenting, playing with the patterns and seeing what mood and emotion you can create.
